Wedding | Joe & Talia

2/09/12

Back in June of 2011 I had the privilege of shooting the wedding for a very dear family friend of Aaron’s. He’s known Talia’s family as long as he can remember, and even refers to her and all of her siblings as his cousins. Mrs. Barnes is best friends with my mother-in-law and it’s been SUCH a joy to be grafted into this group of “extended family” since marrying Aaron.

Joe and Talia had a beautiful, DIY wedding on her family’s property in Gainesville, GA. It was a BIT hot out, but everyone made it through like a champ, and it was truly a beautiful, fun and memorable celebration. I’m so, so happy for these two and SO glad I got to be part of their amazing day. :)

They did a First Look which I ALWAYS love and recommend to my couples!

Talia is so beautiful, and this girl knows how to have FUN! I love that she was relaxed and enjoying herself on her wedding day.

Joe and his guys were pretty fun, themselves. :)

The whole wedding party new how to rock “the smoulder”. Haha.

Now begins all of the fun and amaaaazing details that Talia and her talented group of friends pulled together!

Not surprisingly, I just lovvvved this yellow couch they had at the reception!

They had such a sweet and touching ceremony.

For their exit, instead of just running through sparklers, they wanted people to have options – so there were sparklers, lanterns, and grass seed and it was a fun combination of them all!

It was truly, truly special to be part of Joe and Talia’s big day, and even more so to call them dear friends! Happy Thursday, everyone!

  1. Unsurprisingly, I LOVE the program! You should do a feature on JUST that! I want to see more – love the idea of having more information than just the order of proceedings, and the old newspaper idea is awesome.

OH, and the lantern thing is so, so cool. Love this wedding, in general…

  2. this wedding is so beautiful! I looved the yellow couch too :) great job Tori!

I want to get married again – to the same wonderful man, of course! – just so you can take my pictures. We have an album full of sad (dismal, poorly-made) snapshots from our wedding from almost 20 years ago. I never look at them. If I had an album with pictures that are pure ART – like these – I would have it on my lap every evening!
