Goals | May

5/04/12

I CANNOT believe it’s already May, guys. Seriously?! This year is flyyyying by, and I’m not sure I’m ok with that! I’m especially not ok with the amount of things that went unaccomplished on my list for April. But, sometimes that’s how life is. April was still a great (& busy!) month with a lot of favorite things like moving, new apartments, re-decorating with favorite things, red lipstick, glittery shoes, birthdays, kittens, trips to DC, IKEA, great hair days & hair cuts, color-coordinated shoes & books, singing with my man, lots of coffee, & an amazing concert by NEEDTOBREATHE & Ben Rector.

Here’s a recap on the goals from last month:

PERSONAL

– Workout 3-4 times a week (I blame my fallout with this on moving! I did pretty well except for the week before & during moving…)
– Drink at least 1 Nalgene bottle of water per day
– Finish 2nd Samuel
– Finish Tuesdays With Morrie
– Have coffee/girl time at least 4 times
– Try out at least 2 new recipes, of any kind
– Send at least 2 handwritten letters
– Work on one DIY project from Pinterest
– Pack up all belongings
– MOVE TO NEW APARTMENT!

BUSINESS

– Design 2nd sample album
– Submit 1-2 weddings/shoots for publication
– Blog 3-4 times per week
– Order remaining canvas prints
– Write a concise “mission statement”
– Better customize SmugMug
– Better customize Facebook Biz Page
– Create a general weekly work schedule
– Order business cards (partly accomplished!)

Sooo, as we can see, April leaves a lot of room to accomplish things in May! ;) Here’s what my goals are for THIS month:

PERSONAL

– Workout 3-4 times a week
– Drink at least 1 Nalgene bottle of water per day
– Finish 2nd Samuel & start a New Testament book
– Have coffee/girl time at least 4 times
– Try out at least 2 new recipes, of any kind
– Work on/accomplish a DIY jewelry project
– Hang canvas prints in bedroom
– Attend brother’s college graduation in IN!
– Squeeze in as MUCH personal time w/ friends as possible while in IN

BUSINESS

– Finish unpacking boxes in Office
– Purchase necessary storage units to better organize supplies
– Sort all receipts for March/April
– Update book keeping for March/April
– Submit 1-2 weddings/shoots for publication
– Blog 3-4 times per week
– Write a concise “mission statement”
– Better customize SmugMug
– Better customize Facebook Biz Page
– Create a general weekly work schedule
– Order business cards
– Order custom flash drives
– Attend TeenPact National Convention with Aaron & photograph entire event!

May is an incredibly busy month for us because of the event that I go to with Aaron. It’s the biggest event that the organization puts on, so early May is spent in much preparation for it, and then he’s gone for 2 weeks, with me being there for one of them. So, here’s hoping I can still get a lot of those goals achieved this month in spite of the trips to IN & TN!

What are YOU hoping to accomplish in May? There are so many possibilites, especially with warmer weather and sunnier days. Major DIY projects, anyone?? I’d love to hear! :)

HAPPY FRIDAY, friends!

  1. Love this! Your monthly goals posts inspired me to make some of my own. :) (http://manyrandommusings.blogspot.com/2012/05/monthly-goals-may-edition.html) I’m hoping to declutter, simplify, finish up the school year strong, buy some new photography equipment, and get outside more. That’s the gist of it, anyways. :)

  2. Adore this! Your blog is super cute!! :) You’re inspiring me to make some to do lists!
