Fashion Head Shots for The Bride’s Cafe

9/28/12

I’m excited to show off the rest of the beautiful head shots that I recently did for my favorite Janie over at The Bride’s Cafe. She wanted to do a feature on hair and make-up inspiration, and it was fun getting to shoot for it! Especially since it was held at a brand new salon (having it’s launch on October 1st!) called Formula Salon that is downtown Richmond, right on Broad Street. JDe, the owner, was so kind to open up her place and work her magic on all of the hair, while the ever-wonderful Erika Nixon did all of the make-up. I’m excited that some of these images will even be gracing the walls of the salon for its opening!

And a huge thanks, of course, goes out to the lovely ladies who modeled. JDe and Erika accented each of their natural features so beautifully!

Be sure to check out Janie’s whole post to get the tips for how to achieve these looks! :) And HAPPY WEEKEND, everyone!

Awesome captures here Tori. What was your lighting setup for these shots?

    • Tori says:

@Bradley, it was all natural light, actually! There was a giant window to the left, so I just kept each girl to the side of the light source (moving their head slightly, from shot to shot), which gave the more dramatic lighting effect. :)

  4. These are AWESOME, Tori. I love all of these – and especially love that you used window light. Beautiful!

  5. That last girl looks like Zooey D.

  6. Tori, these are incredible. The lighting is perfect!! Well done :)
