February Goals

January was such a wonderful month. I got to travel with Aaron to Oklahoma for a week-long work event of his and do some photo shoots while there, which is always fun. I’m also so grateful I took these last few weeks to really process and plan and set goals for both my personal life and my business for this next year (and beyond). If you missed that post, you can go back and see my overall 2014 goals. And while I didn’t have many “official” goals for January other than setting goals for the rest of the year, I still accomplished quite a few things I’d been wanting to…

Here’s what got done in January:

PERSONAL

– Go through Lara Casey’s Powersheets & set 2014 goals
– Make curtains for dining room
– Hang curtains in dining room
– Order calendar for gallery wall in dining room
– Hang calendar photos in dining room
– Clean & organize bedroom
– Hang photos in bedroom
– Make wedding shadow box

– Get rug for entryway
– Begin training for new ministry role at church

BUSINESS

– Set goals for 2014
– Catch up on mileage from 2013
– Sort all remaining receipts from 2013
– Submit at least 2 shoots
– Photoshoots for TeenPact
– Order financial book
– Finalize Duty Day list
– Begin tax prep

So, it was actually a really productive month! I think it was a great start to the year, and I’m excited to continue accomplishing things in February. Here’s what is on this month’s docket:

PERSONAL

– Workout 3 times per week (when not traveling)
– Skype with 2 friends
– Hang plates in dining room
– Read at least 2 chapters in 1000 Gifts
– Begin gallery wall in hallway
– Try 2 new recipes
– Make meals for 2 families with new babies
– Visit family & friends in Indiana!

BUSINESS

– Finish & turn in all tax info to CPA
– Buy and hang blinds in office
– Execute first successful Duty Day
– Recover seat for a chair in the office
– Attend UNITED in Santa Barbara!
– Make list of dream shoots for 2014
– Begin re-structuring pricing
– Update galleries on website
– Make blog schedule for the month
– Make weekly work schedule

Here’s to continuing to make things happen in 2014!
