March Goals

3/11/14

Man, today it is so nice in Richmond that I’m having a really hard time making myself sit down and blog and accomplish other computer work. With a high of 79, I really just want to lay out on a blanket and read and soak up some vitamin D. But alas, I’m trying to stay focused…so that brings me to posting this month’s goals! February was a great month, and while I may have been a little overambitious with my goal-setting (you’re about to see the results…) there was so much goodness packed into one short month. Namely, visiting my family in Indiana for several days, going to United (and visiting California for the first time), buying my first ONA bag (which I will post more about, soon!), enjoying snow days with Aaron & the cats, changing my Instagram username, having to get reading glasses, new friends made, many heart-to-heart conversations, surprise and thoughtful gifts from sweet friends & Aaron, and a lovely, chill Valentine’s Day. Such a great month!

Here’s what did (and did not) get crossed off the list:

PERSONAL

– Workout 3 times per week (when not traveling)
– Skype with 2 friends
– Hang plates in dining room
– Read at least 2 chapters in 1000 Gifts  (I finished one and started the next….so, close enough?)
– Begin gallery wall in hallway
– Try 2 new recipes
– Make meals for 2 families with new babies
– Visit family & friends in Indiana!

BUSINESS

– Finish & turn in all tax info to CPA
– Buy and hang blinds in office
– Execute first successful Duty Day (I still have one or two things left to do, but it was still successful!)
– Recover seat for a chair in the office
– Attend UNITED in Santa Barbara!
– Make list of dream shoots for 2014 (I’ve begun this…)
– Begin re-structuring pricing
– Update galleries on website
– Make blog schedule for the month
– Make weekly work schedule

Soooo. Not quite the successful month I was aiming for. BUT, it just means there’s a lot to look forward to accomplishing in March, and at least I’ve already been making mental progress towards some of these things. So, here’s what I’m aiming for this month:

PERSONAL

– Workout at least 2 times per week
– Begin Aimee’s 10 Week Challenge
– Drink 60 oz of water per day
– Write 2-3 handwritten letters
– Skype with at least 1 friend
– Read at least 2 chapters in 1000 Gifts & 2 in the other current book
– Pick photos for hallway gallery wall
– Sample paint color(s) for living room
– Make meal for 1 more family who recently had a baby
– Yard work (anything would be an accomplishment)
– Attend a wedding & hang out with family in FL!

BUSINESS

– Order canvases & cards for upcoming event
– Narrow down photos for prints for office
– Buy and hang blinds in office
– Hang shelves in office
– Recover seat for a chair in the office
– Finish list of dream shoots for 2014
– Begin re-structuring pricing
– Update galleries on website
– Make weekly work schedule
– Finish 2 album designs
– Submit 2-3 weddings
– Begin I Will Teach You to be Rich

Again, might be a little more than I can actually get done, but we shall see! Either way, here’s hoping for an amazing start to Spring and a productive month! What do you hope to get done in March?
