Showered With Love | Part 2

6/05/15

As I mentioned on Monday, when I shared images from my other baby shower, Llewyn and I have certainly been well-loved throughout this pregnancy. It’s been such a blessing to have sweet family and friends support us and generously help us prepare for his arrival. While I unfortunately didn’t get as many photos from these two showers, I still wanted to give a shoutout to the loved ones who threw them and came to them!

My very first one was actually back in February in Indiana and it was hosted by my life-long friend Jocelyn, who’s really always been more like an older sister to me and my siblings, as well as a really close friend to my parents. Her and her girls decorated so beautifully, and it was wonderful to be able to have a shower in my hometown to celebrate with my grandma and aunts and friends I grew up with. Here are a few shots I snapped myself from that evening!

And my final shower which was middle of April was thrown by two of my dear friends, Lily & Kari. Lily opened up her home and the two of them created such a lovely “vintage tea” afternoon shower, serving delicious snacks, and having my favorite teas on hand. It was such a fun time, and I was so excited to not only be surrounded by dear friends, but also that Aaron’s parents and siblings were able to come out for that weekend, so my Mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, and sweet niece were all able to join, as well.

Thanks to Anna & Kaytee respectively for both snapping photos during the shower. Unfortunately, I just didn’t think to get many posed shots with all of the friends who came out (which is sad) but these lovely ladies would be my gorgeous in-laws, and I’m glad we at least grabbed a shot at the end of the day. :)

Needless to say, Aaron, Llewyn and I are all extremely well-loved and deeply blessed. Community is such an important aspect of life, no matter what season you’re in, but it’s been especially comforting as we prepare to embark on the new and exciting journey of parenthood. So grateful we will continue to have these amazing people by our side in the coming weeks, months and years!
