First, I just want to thank you all for giving your opinions on the canvas choices, yesterday! It really did help me figure out what I could envision hanging in my office and what would make me happiest and what would work best for the particular canvas size. So, THANK YOU! I’ll give you an update on that tomorrow. :) But let’s get to today’s post!

This week’s inspiration was pinned to my style board, not surprisingly, because of the great usage of mustard yellow (which is, as you know, my favorite). I particularly liked the use of stripes in a few of the examples, so I decided to dig into my wardrobe and see how I could pair some pattern(s) with a great pop of mustard.

This skirt is one of the few items in my wardrobe from Urban Outfitters (purchased on clearance, and still considered a “splurge”) and one of my very favorite items in my closet. I like that it’s high waisted, and it’s just so comfortable and versatile. This subtly striped button down is a newer favorite, too. I’m finding that it goes with SO much, and adds just the right touch of pattern, without being too bold or obvious.

These shoes are also some of my very favorites, and they were an amazing and cheap thrift store find.

Altogether, this outfit is made up of so many favorites that I’m finding myself loving it more and more!
