When A Certain Gentleman Arrived From Rome…

8/03/12

Ok, maybe he arrived more so from Huntington, IN, but 73 cool points go to whoever knows what my titles references!

Anyway, I cannot even BELIEVE that the weekend has come, and that in just a matter of days (2, to be exact) my sister will be MARRIED. I’m so, soooo excited, thrilled, grateful and blessed to see this day arrive for her. God is SO good, and truly knows how to shower his mercy, grace and abundant blessing on us in just the right timing….and the love story that He’s writing for Aimee & Marvin is no exception.

Of course my one and only sister’s wedding tends to bring out the sentimental and nostalgic part of me, and I couldn’t help but take a trip down memory lane. And as I was doing that (via Facebook photos), I thought that it would be fun to share some of those moments.

Though we’re incredibly different in personality, my sister has always been my best friend. From the days of sharing a bed and wearing matching outfits, up to the present, we’ve always been close and able to share the deepest parts of our hearts and no matter what to love each other, encourage and challenge one another, and pray together.

Through her ever-changing hair styles – from long to short, blonde to brown, or curly to straight – our relationship was constant.

We can always be our truest (and dorkiest!) selves with each other, which I LOVE. (What are sisters for, after all??)

We’ve traveled together, taken a LOT of photos together, and through “photoshoots” that she used to do of me back in the day, I began to discover MY love for photography.

We’re also pretty awesome at letting other people hang out with us sometimes, too.

We’ve been in a few weddings together, already, but on Sunday I can’t wait to be in her’s.

I love you, Aimee. And I cannot WAIT to stand beside you and Marvin as you begin your life together. Happy, HAPPY wedding weekend! :)
