I feel MUCH better about the fact that I’m writing this month’s goals actually AT the beginning of the month, as opposed to last month which was halfway through. But I’ve decided to tweak the way I’m writing my goals just a bit. Some of the things that I’ve made a habit of aiming at every week (like working out and drinking water) probably won’t be on the list, anymore, but I don’t want you all to judge me and think it’s because I’m not doing them anymore. ;) I am! I just think once something becomes a fairly regular part of my life, it’s less of a “goal” and more of an actual regular activity.
September was a great month! I shot lots of pretty weddings (including my first beach one!), did my first sunrise shoot, survived a week without Aaron (but wore one of his shirts most days to make myself feel better), made a fall wreath, loved on my kitties, and in general enjoyed the beginnings of Fall and all that it means (like more hot beverages and breaking out boots). Oh, annnnd I got the 85 mm 1.2 lens…which I’m just KIND of excited about. :D
This is how September turned out:

– Work on photobook
– Keep reading Wuthering Heights
– Finish editing photos for Dad
– Make new wreath for Fall
– Buy more frames for photo wall & order prints

For some reason, I’d oddly excited about the “getting rid of at least 30 things” goal. I’m just ready to purge some stuff. So, hopefully I’ll even surpass that number, but I thought it was a good starting place. I’m also really excited that my parents are coming to visit in a couple weeks and that I’m able to go back with them to Indiana for a few days to see my grandma who’s fighting cancer right now and not strong enough to make a trip out here. It’ll be great to get some quality time with her, and to see some other family and friends, as well.
So, here’s to October – one of my FAVORITE months of the year – and all of the excitement it’ll hold! :)
Um, can I look through your 30 things before you dispose of them??? :-) Im actually serious.
@Lauryn, yes you can! That is, you can look at anything I deem worthy enough to let someone I know have…if I’m weeding out totally lame stuff, I may take it to Goodwill before anyone can know I ever owned it. ;)
Wow, this is inspiring! And congrats on the 85mm, it will become your new bff :)
