I’m trying to plug away and get some work done today, but waking up with a pounding headache, intensely sore throat, and stiff neck have made it difficult. :( I can’t take an entire sick day, since there’s so much to do, but I’m definitely working from the couch, instead of my desk. And the wedding that I was planning to blog today will have to wait. Sometimes you just need to give yourself permission to REST and relax a little, in spite of having much to do. Especially when your body is demanding it. But what’s funny is I have the strongest urge to watch a Little House on the Prairie marathon, because that’s what I always used to do growing up when I was sick. Well, that or Anne of Green Gables. But I’m telling you, there’s nothing that soothes quite like some good ol’ life lessons learned by Laura and the perfect example always set by Pa. Make fun of me all you want….but I unashamedly admit that I still love Little House.
