So happy to be back with you guys this week – I missed blogging! And this particular post is a little late in the coming, but I wanted to kick off the week sharing photos from a girl’s weekend I spent with a couple friends in DC back in December. My friend Bethany lives in NoVa, now, so another friend of her’s, Chyrelle, and I both drove up from Richmond to explore Georgetown for the weekend! I had never really been to that part of the city before, so it was cool to walk around and go to a couple places I’d been wanting to try out (not to mention checking out several amaaazing vintage/thrift stores).
This is the lovely and oh-so-stylish Chyrelle!
And this is Bethany, who’s always rocking some combination of black and animal print. :)
We kicked off our first day by grabbing brunch at the fabulous French cafe, Paul. (Where I had a crepe that was divine!)
We may have gotten a LITTLE carried away with our picture-taking…
Bethany making fun of the “senior picture” pose. ;)
In the evening we went to Serendipity for hot chocolate/coffee/dessert! (Truthfully, we were rather underwhelmed with it…but it was still a fun experience and environment!)
Continuing with our love for dessert, and because I’d never been before, the next day we of course HAD to make a stop at Georgetown Cupcake. My friend Laura has ravvvved about them to me multiple times, and these (unlike Serendipity) were definitely NOT underwhelming. If you’re in the area and have never had them, you really need to! And not just because they have a TLC show. The cupcakes themselves are legit.
When we found this yellow-ish building, Bethany made me go pose so there’d be photos of me, too. It quickly got dramatic…. ;) Haha.
It was such a lovely, fun weekend. DC has so many cool things to offer, and I can definitely say Georgetown is one of my new favorite parts of the city. There’s a ton more I’d love to see there, so hopefully we’ll get to do another trip like this, soon. :)
Happiest of Mondays to all of you!
This post made me hungry!! haha all that food looks incredible!
LOVE these!!! :)
This brought back so many wonderful memories of dating my husband and our time in Georgetown. I believe I might have taken photos of that exact red door (I’m drawn to red doors like a bee to honey!). We walked and wandered and altogether had a blissful time there a few years ago…. And I tasted straight espresso for the first time, while sharing the most magnificient cupcake at Baked & Wired (worth the visit!).
I love living vicariously through other people’s blogs. ;) This one was especially fun. :) Thank you!
