I’m totally LOVING the gorgeous weather we’ve been having in Richmond, this week. I think long dresses and skirts are one of my favorites once weather gets warm because they’re so easy and comfortable, and pretty much automatically cute. Today’s look is a bit of an interpretation of this inspiration photo, but I really liked the look of a long skirt or dress (with texture or pattern) paired with a denim or chambray shirt.
(Inspiration photo via J.Crew. All others taken by THE Lauryn Galloway, edited by me.)
Mine is actually a maxi dress, not a skirt, but it’s great to keep in mind that you can wear dresses with the look of a skirt by doing a shirt, jacket or sweater over it like this.
Dress: Target, $25 | Shirt: Old Navy, $25 | Necklace: Anthropologie, Christmas gift | Purse: Fossil Outlet, $100 | Shoes: Thrifted, $5
Are you a fan of maxi skirts and dresses? Would you wear a fun texture like the glittered one, colorful pattern like mine, or do you prefer solids?
Happy Wednesday! Hope you’re enjoying some sunshine! :)
SUCH a cute one. Love the patterned skirt/dress. Also: “THE Lauryn Galloway” hahahahahaha.
@Lauryn, well you know…just gotta give credit where it’s due! ;) :D
I love Maxi’s, and the chambray/jean shirt is perfect with it! (Also, I’m kinda in love with that bag. ahh, Fossil…)
I love Wardrobe Wednesdays. ;) You are so creative + cute!
