Since wedding previews are taking over my Monday posts, lately, I’m making an exception and posting a “My Method” on a Tuesday. I hope you don’t mind! Especially since today’s is a fun and special installment!
A couple months back, my fabulous friend Lauryn Galloway and I tag-teamed a ShowitLive session, together. What is ShowitLive, you ask? Well, it’s a daily show put on by our awesome website company (Showit), hosted by different photographers and business/creative professionals from within the Showit community, from all across the country! So when they asked some of us Virginia photographers to host, since neither Lauryn or I have a business partner or husband that shoots with us, we decided to do it together. And since we’re both pretty passionate about blogging, and how that plays into your branding, we chose to talk about Creating & Implementing a Blog Series. The video is almost 30 minutes long, which I know is a bit of a commitment, but if you’ve never met me or Lauryn aren’t you a littttle curious about what we sound like? ;) Not to mention, if you watch you will hear our input on:
1) How to figure out a blog series that is right for YOU and your business.
2) How to think through the planning and time-commitment needed for the series.
3) How often you should post in a series.
And even more! Plus, tune in to find out whether or not it’s possible for me to say a word withOUT using my hands, and to say that you knew us before we became famous for hosting a talk-show together! (I mean, it’s clearly in our future…. ;)
I hope that our little tips are helpful to some of you, and if you have any follow-up questions on anything we talked about, or anything else in relation to a blog series, feel free to post below! Happy Tuesday, everyone!
I love this Tori. Definitely made it through the entire episode. Thanks for the helpful tips on launching a series. I may have to use them for my own blog. I really appreciated the time you put in to the session! Thanks!
You ladies did a great job! Blogging consistently is a HUGE struggle for me so it was nice to hear ways to think through series and keep it consistent.
You should do videos more often! I’m considering rebooting my blog and starting a series now.
I love this video! What a great job you two did. Really great tips! Thanks for sharing. :-)
