Generally when I come across a photo on Pinterest there are one or two elements I really like that draw me to the look or idea of the outfit. In this case, the original outfit is quite a bit preppier than I would normally go. But I loved the look of the scarf bow, paired with a great blazer and simple black pants. So, I simply switched out the heels for my favorite loafers and instantly the look was tweaked to be more “me”.

This blazer from Anthro has been one of the best purchases (and the best part is I’d gotten it on clearance for $50!). It’s nice and thick, while still being fitted, and I love the texture – it’s such a versatile piece. It’s also my preferred length for blazers, as opposed to the ones that hit closer to the waist and farther above the hips.
The scarf was my Grandma’s, so I love finding new ways to wear it. And I also love how perfectly it goes with my favorite loafers.
Blazer: Anthropologie, $50 | Pants: Old Navy, $19 | Shirt: Had forever, don’t remember | Shoes: Thrifted, $3 | Scarf: Was my Grandma’s | Watch: Target, $30 | Earrings: Were my Mom’s
Are you a fan of the scarf-bow look? I love how it adds a feminine and slightly vintage touch to an outfit, and that it’s yet another way to wear favorite scarves! I did a fun look with pattern mixing and a scarf bow last year, as well, that is still one of my favorites.
Happy Wardrobing, friends!
Oooooh! This might be my favorite look yet! I love it :-) The bow and the blazer look so beautiful together. And I just didn’t expect that.
Grandma would love that you’re wearing her scarf! It looks nice on you.
I love this outfit! You look so cute!
And you know I love that blazer since I comment on it every time I see you wearing it! ;)
You are adorable – and so is this outfit! <3
DANG! This is such an amazing look. And what gets me is that it pretty much could not be further out of my preferred style— but the way you’ve done it is thoroughly fantastic
