It’s always so hard to know where to begin with a recap post after an incredible event. United was not only a wonderful conference where I gained some great advice for how to better my business, but it was a week of building old and new friendships alike and simply connecting with others in this crazy and exciting industry. I’m not really going to try to explain all that the week held….but it was good. So good. It was also my first time ever to California, and the Fess Parker Double Tree hotel in Santa Barbara was a pretty stellar place to call home for a few days.
I had the best travel buddies in Ali & Annamarie, who were also two of my roomies along with Abby. I couldn’t have asked for more awesome girls to room with, and I’m so grateful that I left the week not just knowing them, but considering them sweet friends. I also LOVED getting to know the fabulous girls of room 304 – Natalie, Caroline, Anna, & Katie, and getting to hang with another Richmond favorite, Jen. We all shared many a heart-to-heart, and it was such a sweet, encouraging time.
I loved getting to chat with so many friends and see such a strong representation from Virginia! Katelyn killed it with her talks, and I always love seeing that girl. Thanks to the fabulous Shoot & Share team who captured the events of the week for several of these next few images.
I was so happy to get time with two of my favorites Kristin & Emily Wall, as well, and the amazing Janelle who I was excited to finally get to meet!
It was awesome having my fabulous friend and amazing designer Jennifer (of Tonic Site Shop) there for the week, as well, and to hear her and these other talented designers give great advice and feedback on branding. We ALSO had an epic concert and dance night, and I’m amazed by the multi-talented people that are part of Shoot & Share community!
But of course one of the very best things was being just across the street from the beach….
It was such a wonderful week, and I couldn’t be happier that I went. Huge thanks to the incredible Shoot & Share staff who put on such a great event, and to the sweet friends that let me photograph them, hang out, and share hearts. Stay tuned tomorrow for some pretty beach portraits of several of the afore mentioned ladies…. :)
