Well, March was a lovely month! In spite of how few of my goals I actually accomplished. :-/ But, several things were fantastic, like getting to shoot two very dear (and adorable) friends (more to come from that shoot!), attending a wedding in Florida, ordering some beautiful large canvas prints, getting the living room painted, beginning the process of painting dining room chairs, my first work-from-outside Spring day, fresh flowers gracing the house, a super fun Wardrobe Wednesday give-away, a lovely feature on Ruffled, and the most adorable earrings from a friend. It was a great way to kick off Spring, and I’m loving the beginning of April, so far!
Here’s how the March goals turned out:
PERSONAL
– Workout at least 2 times per week
– Begin Aimee’s 10 Week Challenge
– Drink 60 oz of water per day
– Write 2-3 handwritten letters (Only got one written….)
– Skype with at least 1 friend
– Read at least 2 chapters in 1000 Gifts & 2 in the other current book
– Pick photos for hallway gallery wall (Began this!)
– Sample paint color(s) for living room
– Make meal for 1 more family who recently had a baby
– Yard work (anything would be an accomplishment)
– Attend a wedding & hang out with family in FL!
BUSINESS
– Order canvases & cards for upcoming event
– Narrow down photos for prints for office (Started this!)
– Buy and hang blinds in office
– Hang shelves in office (Tried and epically failed…need to buy different/better shelves)
– Recover seat for a chair in the office
– Finish list of dream shoots for 2014
– Begin re-structuring pricing
– Update galleries on website (Started the process!)
– Make weekly work schedule
– Finish 2 album designs (Finished one!)
– Submit 2-3 weddings
– Begin I Will Teach You to be Rich
Um, as you can see….the business side of the goals remained pretty unaccomplished. :-/ It’s so humbling to post on months like this. But, it’s also real. Some months just stay busier with the everyday tasks and don’t allow me to focus on all the different things I want. I also realized I was way too ambitious with some of them and need to break them down into smaller steps. So, here’s what I’m aiming for this week!
PERSONAL
– Workout at least 3 times per week
– Continue drinking 60 oz of water per day
– Write the remaining 2 handwritten letters from last month
– Read for personal enjoyment for at least an hour each week
– Finish painting dining room chairs
– Find artwork to hang in bathroom
– Skype with at least 1 friend
– Work in the yard at least one day per week
– Sort through stuff and get rid-of/sell
BUSINESS
– Narrow down non-wedding options for prints for office
– Buy and hang blinds in office
– Look for new shelves
– Finish list of dream shoots for 2014
– Begin re-structuring pricing
– Update Lifestyle gallery on website
– Make weekly work schedule
– Submit 2-3 weddings
– Begin I Will Teach You to be Rich
A lot of the business goals are remaining the same from last month, and I hope to ACTUALLY accomplish them this time. A couple of them were tweaked to be a little more specific, as well. April is always one of my favorite months (since it’s my birthday!) so I’m excited to see all that this month will hold, hopefully including a lot of lovely Spring days. I’m also super excited that my parents are visiting this weekend and that we can all chill in a beautiful, newly painted living room! So much to be excited about and grateful for.
What are your main goals for April?
