So, in case anyone has been wondering why the blog posts have been a bit sparse this past week, it’s because I’ve been gone in Tennessee photographing a pretty fabulous week-long event. I always enjoy getting to do National Convention with Aaron each year as the head of the photography, and this one was no exception. It was the first year we held the event on the beautiful campus of Lee University, and it made for a seriously perfect space and backdrop for a week packed full of so much activity. Thought I would share a few photos to give you an idea of some of my favorite aspects of the week.

Worship sessions, by far, are my favorite. There’s one each morning and evening and it’s just incredible to ground the event with the focus of worshipping together. Not to mention, the ministry is full of amazingly talented musicians and singers.

I also really love what they call “Coffee House” which is a time in the evening after sessions to hang out, chat, and enjoy some coffee and snacks. They decorated this space beautifully and it made it a lot of fun to photograph.

But, BY FAR, the most memorable moment of the week was when we made a “commercial” involving a few boy bands. As a little background, there are student elections held at this event each year to elect a new TeenPact president, vice president, senators, etc. During the election returns evening they like to take several commercial breaks, and so the media team makes several awesome videos each year to act as those commercials. They range from hilarious and random to serious and moving. This one happened to be for a “coming soon to TeenPact” reality show called So You Think You Can Boy Band. Trust me when I say, it was epic. I grabbed some behind-the-scenes shots while the amazing video team was filming.

Of course, I happen to have a big crush on the guy second from the right…. ;)

We also got some of the awesome dads involved, who were great sports!

But these guys stole the show with their perfect boy-band-wannabe abilities.
