April was such a great month (in part because of my birthday), but also because it’s the true beginning of Spring. And May is off to a rather bustling start. Before the month gets away from me too much, I figured it was time for the April recap and May goals!
Some of April’s highlights included my family visiting, getting the living room painted, having the BEST surprise “progressive birthday” celebration to ring in turning 28, Easter, coffee dates with some of my favorite photog friends, visiting my cousin and her cute little ones in Houston, completing several DIY projects, and in general enjoying the beautiful evidences of Spring all around our yard and neighborhood.
Here’s how I did with April goals:
PERSONAL
– Workout at least 3 times per week (I hit this probably 2 out of the 4 weeks)
– Continue drinking 60 oz of water per day
– Write the remaining 2 handwritten letters from last month
– Read for personal enjoyment for at least an hour each week
– Finish painting dining room chairs
– Find artwork to hang in bathroom
– Skype with at least 1 friend
– Work in the yard at least one day per week
– Sort through stuff and get rid-of/sell
BUSINESS
– Narrow down non-wedding options for prints for office
– Buy and hang blinds in office
– Look for new shelves (Looked, but haven’t found ones I’m happy with, yet)
– Finish list of dream shoots for 2014 (Still working on it, but made some progress)
– Begin re-structuring pricing
– Update Lifestyle gallery on website
– Make weekly work schedule
– Submit 2-3 weddings (Submitted one!)
– BeginĀ I Will Teach You to be Rich
Not too bad! May is REALLY busy with sessions and travel and all sorts of stuff. So, there are fewer things I’m going to attempt. But here’s what’s on my list:
PERSONAL
– Be active (working out or yard work) 3 times per week
– Buy BPA free water bottle & cup
– StartĀ The Meaning of Marriage with Aaron
– Try 2 new recipes
– Whitewash fireplace
– Hang artwork in the bathroom
– Buy new rugs for the bathroom
– Buy and hang new blinds for the bathroom
– Shoot TeenPact National Convention 2014!
BUSINESS
– Hang blinds in office
– Pinterest boards for inspiration/”dream” shoots
– Update Engagement gallery on website
– (Really) Make weekly work schedule
– Submit 2 more weddings
– Set up meeting with CPA about business planning
– Set aside a day to focus on restructuring prices
