Man, the last month has basically been one big blur. Aaron and I have traveled a ton, and been pretty much non-stop busy. So, not only am I late in posting this….but I’m a little afraid to see the lack of accomplishment. But that’s ok! Goals are great, and I accomplish so much more by writing them out than I would otherwise. And that’s a positive thing, regardless!
Some of the highlights of May were finally getting a June Jar, updating one of my website galleries, working with amazing people at TeenPact National Convention, whitewashing the fireplace, chilling out in a mansion in Alabama for a couple days, exploring local coffee shops in different cities, running into people I know during engagement shoots, and mowing the yard for the first time. I’d say there was a lot of stuff crammed in between all the travel and the 3 weddings I shot!
Here’s how the goals played out:
PERSONAL
– Be active (working out or yard work) 3 times per week
– Buy BPA free water bottle & cup
– Start The Meaning of Marriage with Aaron
– Try 2 new recipes
– Whitewash fireplace
– Hang artwork in the bathroom
– Buy new rugs for the bathroom (bought new ones, but didn’t like them….so still need to get some I like!)
– Buy and hang new blinds for the bathroom
– Shoot TeenPact National Convention 2014!
BUSINESS
– Hang blinds in office
– Pinterest boards for inspiration/”dream” shoots
– Update Engagement gallery on website
– (Really) Make weekly work schedule
– Submit 2 more weddings
– Set up meeting with CPA about business planning
– Set aside a day to focus on restructuring prices
Annnd, the business goals clearly suffered in May….but overall I got a lot more accomplished than I expected! Here’s what I hope to get done with the rest of June:
PERSONAL
– Keep being active 3 times per week
– Finish 1000 Gifts
– Buy rug for living room
– Hang artwork in living room
– Exchange rugs for the bathroom
– Write 3 handwritten letters
– Skype with 2 friends
– Try Bulletproof Coffee
BUSINESS
– Hang blinds in office
– Update Engagement gallery on website
– (Really) Make weekly work schedule
– Submit 2 more weddings
– Update Album Design workflow chart
– Set aside a day to focus on restructuring prices
– Revisit Powersheets from the first half of this year
I didn’t change the business goals much because those are things I really need to focus on getting done. And here’s hoping June will be productive now that I’m actually not traveling for a little bit! I’m also, of course, hoping to just enjoy the beginning of summer and make it to the pool a time or two in the next couple weeks. Gotta keep working on the tan I started last week in Florida. :)
What are you most excited about accomplishing in June?
Hooray for finally finding those jars!
