One of the best parts about doing this series is finding out how versatile certain accessories can be. In putting together lots of outfits one of the things I’ve come to love most is how having just one or two great, neutral clutches can go a long way in one’s wardrobe. There are so many times that I prefer not to lug around a big purse when going out with Aaron or attending a party or wedding, and it’s been amazing how this woven neutral clutch that I thrifted a few years ago has been the perfect addition to so many outfits.
I love that it has some texture to give it interest, but is still a simple piece making it so versatile. I also think the little touch of metallic gold on the edges helps it go with both dressy and casual outfits.
This simple brown leather clutch is also really easy to dress up or down and again, I love that it has some texture to give it some visual interest while still being a solid color. It was a great thrift find being that it’s from LOFT, but I only paid $8 for it!
While I’ve obviously had amazing luck with thrifting my favorite clutches, there are, of course, tons of cute options out there in lots of different stores. These are a few I found online that I find interesting and fun in and of themselves, but would make a great staple piece and still go with a lot of different outfits.
