I’m so excited to bring you my first-ever guest Wardrobe Wednesday feature, today! And I could think of no better person to kick it off with than my adorable friend Kaytee Lauren. She is a fabulous photographer, and has great taste in style. I asked her a few questions to better share about her personal style and inspiration, so enjoy getting to know her a little!
How would you define your personal style?
I would define my style as classic, but also a little bit trendy. The funny thing is, I’ve always had this style. I’ve always been somewhat neutral in my approach with a minimalist vibe, but it just happens to be in style right now. Which is amazing for me, because I feel like I’ve been able to really own my style through seeing it become so popular, and not feel like I have to be anything other than myself. For a long time I felt like I was too plain and didn’t wear enough colors like most girls, but what I’ve learned through the new trends is that my approach to style is actually very classy and very much me, and I can be proud to own it, color or no color! I feel like I’ve learned how to own it a lot more.
Where do you find most of your style inspiration?
I find a lot of my style from Pinterest for sure. I like to Pin ideas onto my Closet board, but I also just like throwing outfits together for myself and doing what makes me feel good. That’s kind of been my approach to my inspiration and style. A lot of times I will see outfits on Pinterest or in catalogs, or even in stores, and I will take elements that I like from those outfits, but then fit them to be a little more me. I am still defining this approach, and trying to branch out a little bit, but I think seeing other people with similar style to me being bold with their outfits has helped me know it’s okay to do what I want to do with what I wear.
