Wardrobe Wednesday | Long & Loose High-Low Shirts

10/22/14

I’m all about the high-low trend when it comes to long, loose, comfy shirts. It makes them a little more flattering and interesting than just a huge oversize shirt, and brings more of a trendy element to what can still be a really comfortable outfit. Add a cute accessory or two, and you’re totally set for an easy, everyday Fall look. I especially loved the look of the loafer type shoes in the inspiration photo, but it would work great with ankle boots and a scarf added, as well!

I found this shirt at TJ Maxx about a month ago and have worn it SO many times, since. It’s just so soft and comfy and I’m all about olive green, as well as stripes. So, it just had “Tori” written all over it. The shoes, likewise, were purchased about 2 months ago and have been an absolute staple in my Fall wardrobe. I love the woven design on them, and yet how they’re still neutral and can go with so many things.

Shirt: TJ Maxx, $15 | Jeans: Old Navy, $19 | Shoes: Kodachrome Vintage, $35 | Necklace: Contrary, $20 | Purse: Fossil Outlet, $100

If you’re looking for amazing vintage shoes in excellent condition, I can’t rave enough about Kodachrome Vintage on Etsy. They have one of the best curated collections I’ve seen, and the shop owners are super fabulous! Likewise, if you’re ever looking for unique jewelry pieces, my friend and former bride Mary makes the coolest stuff. She’s also a Richmond native! I love getting to support other small businesses and fellow creatives and without fail the pieces that I get from places like that become my favorites.

So are you a fan of high-low shirts or does this trend leave you skeptical?
