Annnnd just like that, we’re back from our little spontaneous adventure to paradise, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect or lovely get-away together. So much time to just rest, relax, read and just be. I chose not to travel with my actual camera, as somehow that felt like adding stress to the trip instead of just unplugging and enjoying. But iPhones are a great fill-in so here are some little snippets of our 5 days!
Such a fun time, and technically Llewyn’s first time at the ocean and out of the country! What a little traveler he is already. ;) For anyone curious, we stayed at the Excellence Riviera Cancun and aside from a little incident with a leaky air conditioner and having to switch rooms mid-stay, we had a great time and really enjoyed the set up of the resort and the many different options for finding a good spot to park yourself for the day, be it at the beach or one of the many pools. Also, March is probably the perfect time to go to Cancun – the weather was amazing. Not too hot or humid, but plenty warm enough to make you want to be in the water and fully enjoying the experience.
I’m so grateful it worked out to go and get time together, and pray that our hearts, marriage and life will be as well-prepared as possible to welcome our sweet little one in just over two months!
Anyone have their own great babymoon experience to share? I’d love to hear what you did/where you went!
Number One: you are so freaking beautiful. AND on top of that you make the cutest pregnant lady ever!!
Number Two: WHERE is that black dress from?!! I want to copy for our babymoon in a few weeks!!
Lindsay, the dress is actually a navy….but it’s just a non-maternity dress I got from TJ Maxx last summer! Sorry that’s not super helpful. :-/
Number Three: Ina May!!!!
