Sometimes (ok, ALL the time) during pregnancy you just want to be comfortable. But I don’t think that has to mean sacrificing style. While I fully admit I have lived in leggings the vast majority of the past 6 months, whenever going out and about in them, I’ve always tried to make the outfit legitimately cute instead of coming across as “I’m wearing leggings because I’m pregnant and just want to be comfortable”. Long sweaters, scarves and ankle boots have been the perfect accessories to take a comfortable outfit and elevate it to an all-around cute look that I would wear even if not pregnant. So when I came across this photo on Pinterest I knew it would be perfect for an outfit inspiration since I’ve already been wearing so many similar looks.

Long tank tops are my best friend right now, and I’m so glad my friend Samantha (who just had her second baby!) told me how well these basic ones from H&M work for pregnancy. They’re not actually maternity, but they’re so much longer than normal tanks, lightweight, soft, and super stretchy. Annnd only $5. So, you can’t beat that! I’ve liked them more than any actual maternity tank tops I’ve purchased.

Being comfortable and looking cute canĀ definitely go hand-in-hand! And a fun patterned scarf really spruces up an outfit made up of really basic pieces, wouldn’t you agree?
