I don’t know what it is, but for some reason ever since Google+ came out, I just sort of put it out of my mind and didn’t need “one more social network” to deal with. And I’m sure I’m not the only one who felt that way. It seemed like Facebook was still King when it came to client and potential-client interaction on social media, and Google+ was just competition for that, but would never really take off.
Yeah, but, I’m also not an SEO expert. So, as I started to read posts from marketing experts like Krista who explain why it’s helpful, but also EXACTLY how to set up a page to best benefit your business, and other photographers (like this one from Katelyn) I realized it might just be time to get with it and set up a page for my business, after all. And now that I have, suddenly it’s a fun new adventure and I’m eager to find others to interact with!
So, while it’s still in the beginning stages and I have a lot of content to beef up, head over to Google+ and give the Tori Watson Photography page a follow, +1 some of the content, and link me to your pages and circles so I can return the favor! :)
Here’s to constantly stepping out of comfort zones and being willing to learn and adapt as trends come and go, so as to keep benefitting and growing my business reach. For someone who’s not necessarily techy minded or naturally inclined on the marketing side of things, that can be a challenge. But it’s also fascinating to learn and grow in those things! So, I’m grateful for friends like Krista who lead the way with such excellent content and advice. (Seriously check out her stuff for great advice on all things marketing and branding!)
