When I saw this inspiration photo on Pinterest, I instantly loved the combo of the gray top and coral colored tribal print skirt. BUT, I just cannot do the under-the-belly skirt and shirt look. It just doesn’t flatter me and makes me feel too frumpy. So, I decided to adapt it to be more my style by wearing a skirt I already had above the belly, tucking in a shirt, and belting it for more of a vintage-style take on this look! Adding some comfortable wedge heels, a clutch & a fun necklace also takes it up a notch (though it would certainly work with flats and no necklace and an over-the-shoulder purse for a more casual look like the original photo).

It really is wonderful how versatile non-maternity maxi skirts and dresses are when they’re soft, stretchy fabrics. It’s been great to be able to keep wearing favorite pieces through the 3rd trimester.
Would you wear this look more like the original photo, or my interpretation of it? It’s always fun to hear how different people would be inspired to put together their own outfit!
