You guys, this is my last maternity style post! I’m due on Friday (so crazy!) and while it could still be another week or two, this is the last maternity look I’ll be sharing before taking a break from Wardrobe Wednesday for a couple months (you know, until I get some form of my normal body back after he’s born ;). I cannot even believe how quickly time has gone by! But, I thought a nice, casual look was a fitting note to end on. I’ve really enjoyed dressing my bump and finding ways to keep making my normal style work, and my chambray shirts have definitely been a great accessory throughout. Add some stripes and denim, and you really can’t go wrong with this timeless, casual outfit. While I wish I was relaxing at the beach like the inspiration photo, I found that for the occasional cool day we seem to get lately that I enjoyed pairing these items with my cuffed skinny jeans and some of my favorite loafers. So, obviously it can be tweaked to your own liking and whatever the weather calls for!

If you never noticed in any previous outfits, I’ve been wearing these cheap rings for a couple months, now, as my fake wedding rings because mine started getting too tight with random swelling at the beginning of the 3rd trimester. But, I couldn’t get used to just wearing NONE on that finger. So, I set out to get some that could look like wedding bands, without being expensive. Of course, they look nothing like my actual wedding rings, but hey, it still made me feel better. :)
Jeans: Jessica Simpson via Motherhood Maternity, $50 | Chambray Shirt: Old Navy, $20 | Tank: Old Navy (non-maternity), $7 | Shoes: Kodachrome Vintage on Etsy, $35 | Headband scarf: Was my Grandma’s | Rings: H&M and Francessca’s | $10
Super easy outfit, and definitely a comfortable, timeless go-to for any season, pregnant or not. You just really can’t go wrong mixing stripes and denim, and even chambray WITH denim (so long as they’re different colors). There’s lots of room to accessorize with jewelry or, like I did, with a hair scarf, etc. Is this the type of outfit you’d consider as a staple in your wardrobe? How would you mix up this look to make it your own? As always, I’d love to hear what you think!
Thanks for following along my pregnancy journey. Seriously, I can’t believe it’s almost over, but it was so fun to share my love for style mixed with this growing baby bump and I hope it helped inspire you that no matter HOW your body changes, you can continue to find creative ways to make things fit your own style, and make a lot of your favorite items work in new and different ways. :)
