I love me some good pattern mixing, especially adding a floral print to stripes or polka dots. Even though this inspiration image is pretty Springy, I knew I had the perfect pieces in my closest for more of a Fall-inspired take on this idea. Adding a blazer, scarf and booties can make a lot of floral patterns – even ones that have more Spring and Summer color palettes – work for Fall. And I’m all about making as many items in my wardrobe work year-round as possible!

Isn’t this a cute look? It would be great for an evening out on the town, shooting a wedding (because it’s actually really comfortable), going to church – you name it! I love that a blazer and scarf can make you feel warm and weather appropriate, but not hinder the outfit like wearing a normal overcoat. So on these cool but not too-cold Fall days, this look works great!
Blazer: H&M, $20 | Skirt: LulaRoe, $30 | Shirt: Charlotte Russe, $10 | Scarf: Amazon, $10 | Boots: Amazon, $56 | Earrings: Francessca’s, $8 | Ring: H&M, $5
Where would you rock an outfit like this? I just might wear it in a couple weeks when I go see Newsies with a couple girlfriends! :)
Here’s to fun pattern-mixing and Fall-wardrobing!
Hey Tori, this is my first time on your blog and WOW is it gorgeous! I would love to talk to you about your inspiration and who you did it through. I am just starting to blog for my husband, Justin, and MAN, is it a lot of work! Awesome job! I will definitely be coming back every week! Your style is awesome, by the way, I have never been good at accessorizing and you do it so naturally!
Aw, thanks for stopping by Sarah! I’m so glad you enjoy what you’ve seen of the blog, and I’d be happy to chat with you about it, sometime! :)
