One of my favorite things to do now and then is a little “roundup” of several different looks that you can achieve with one staple piece. While there are countless things that you can do with a chambray or denim shirt in your wardrobe, one of the things I seem to do most often is mixing it with black & white and often a pop of brown. It’s a completely classic combination that you just can’t go wrong with. Here are a few of my favorite looks with that combo!
This was last week’s look, and it’s definitely my current favorite because it’s just so great for Fall, and these are my favorite boots. So, it’s win/win! But I love using my chambray shirts as a jacket of sorts layered over dresses.
Just as much as I love putting it over things, I also love layering this shirt under dresses and sweaters. Such an easy way to make a sleeveless dress wearable in the colder months!
Tucking it in or knotting it with a high-waisted skirt is yet another way to wear this shirt.
Sometimes, you just need to wear an easy, comfortable combination (that’s great while pregnant or not!) and this one always works. A simple t-shirt, black or dark denim pants, and throwing your chambray overtop. Done and done!
I hope these ideas give you inspiration for your wardrobe, especially as we head into the holidays! I know when I’m packing to go see family, it’s always nice to utilize as few pieces as possible, while getting the maximum out of those items.
Which look is your favorite, and how do you most often wear your chambray shirts?
