Wardrobe Wednesday | Chambray Dress

8/24/16

I’m SO all about easy one-piece outfits, and dresses naturally fall into that category. But when it’s a super versatile dress, to boot, it offers a ton of flexibility. I’d been keeping my eye out for a great chambray or denim dress for months and months, so when I found this earlier this Spring (on clearance!) I knew it was the perfect one. I love adding some simple brown accessories since that is my go-to, but you could go with black or nude or really so many other options, as well!

I bought these Dansko clogs because I needed some better and more supportive shoes (that were also cute) to wear when shooting weddings and they have been a GREAT addition to my wardrobe. I’ve already gotten so much wear out of them, and they make me feel much cuter than flats on a wedding day (though I still often change to sandals or flats for the reception). And, it doesn’t hurt that they look cute along with my trusty ONA shooting bag!

There are so many versions of chambray dresses out there right now, and they’re not anything “new”. But I definitely think you just can’t go wrong having a version (or two) in your closet for the days when you just don’t want to work hard to put together a look you KNOW will work. Chambray goes with just about anything, and especially when there’s a cute belt or an easy way to add interest to the outfit without really having to accessorize.

So where are my other chambray-lovers? Tell me your favorite way to wear it for the remainder of the summer!

SUCH a good look on you, Tori. I love it! I recently inherited a chambray dress, but I haven’t done much to style it differently. You’ve inspired me. :)
