Wedding | Danny & Janelle

4/23/12

After a crazy, busy weekend of moving I’m so happy to be getting back in the swing of things in between unpacking and settling in. And to kick off this week, I’m SO excited to bring you one of the most fun, colorful and adorable weddings I’ve ever shot. If you remember Danny & Janelle’s engagement session (that was also featured on United With Love) then I’m sure the creativity of their wedding won’t surprise you one bit. They ooze love and happiness, and the brightly colorful scheme of their wedding suited their personalities PERFECTLY. Plus, Janelle DIY’ed just about everything, and I love how that personal touch always makes the day seem that much more special. As a bride, I know what it feels like to finally see all of your work completed and put together, and Janelle’s vision came together smashingly!

The wedding was in October at the beautiful North Glade Inn Bed & Breakfast in Swanton, MD. It was the perfect location for a beeeeautiful fall day! Oh, and I’ll apologize now for the amount of photos in this post….but it was WAY TOO HARD to narrow down which ones to post, especially since Lauryn Galloway was second shooting for me and got so many amazing shots, too. So, I did the best I could, but I wanted you all to be able to see as many of my favorites as possible! :)

Not only did Janelle wear TOMS, but so did Danny and the whole wedding party. Furthermore, they actually asked ALL of their guests to support the cause and wear them, too – which worked perfectly, since the reception was in a barn, and all.

Oh, Janelle. You are SO stunning.

I loved the pop of the girls dresses and all the colorful flowers against the bright red barn.

Each of the bridesmaids made their own bouquets. Another fun personal touch, and they all did a fabulous job! And of course Janelle made her beautiful brooch bouquet.

Gah, do you SEE why it’s so hard to narrow these photos down?! Janelle is ridiculously beautiful and naturally photogenic! I just love all of these.

Danny was rocking some great style, himself!

His blue eyes are so awesome!

This group of guys was hilarious. They rocked it out, and were such good sports with all of the photos.

Danny is a talented photographer, as are most of his friends, so it was only natural to actually USE some cameras in these shots. I love the great vibe they added.

Annnd now for all of the amazing details!

Danny and Janelle MADE their own cake & topper! So cute! The cupcakes were done by Jennifer’s Desserts.

Instead of doing a unity candle, or sand, they planted a tree together! And you may have noticed in the above photos that as their favors they gave little sprigs. Such a fun and unique idea.

Haha, gotta love the groomsmen during the kiss!

And as usual, when it came to couples portraits, they KILLED it! I mean, look at this drama!

Those BEAUTIFUL eyes!

The lighting was so perfect!

As if I can really narrow down favorites, but if I could, this would be one.

The reception was a wonderful and truly FUN time of celebration. (Danny & Janelle and their friends now how to break it DOWN on the dance floor!) I lovvvve that they had a chocolate milk toast! Never seen that before, and it was just so perfectly fitting for them.

I just can’t say enough what a truly AMAZING day it was. And more than that, how truly incredible Danny & Janelle are as people, and as a couple. They love the Lord more than anything, and each other second of all. Their ceremony was one of the most genuine and sweetest that I’ve ever witnessed. I honestly feel like my life is enriched for knowing them, and I’m SO happy that friendships don’t end when the wedding does. :) So, thank you, again, for having me as part of your special day! I’m so happy and grateful to call you friends! :)

    Tori!

I think this is my favorite of your wedding work. Holy smokes. I love, love it. Not to mention that the couple is SO cute! Great variety. And the shot of them two under the trees (the closer up black and white one) is fantastic. You couldn’t have captured the light any better! Beautiful beautiful.

    Tori,

You knocked it out of the park on this one! Every image is wonderful! Above and beyond just great photography, you truly told the story of their day (creatively shared on their part, as well). Not often would I say this, but this time I nearly feel as though I had been there. Nicely done.

  6. This is my favorite wedding of yours ever. Something crazy beautiful, Tori! Especially the portraits — absolutely fantastic.
