Easy DIY Wedding Place Cards

8/14/12

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I’m finally back home in Richmond, and it’s SO great to be with our kitties again and getting back into the swing of things (and attempting to catch up on the PLETHORA of things I need to get done this week). And I’m definitely happy to be back to blogging! Now that my sister is successfully married off, I thought I would share the easy little DIY project I did to make the place cards for her reception.

All you’ll need is:

– Scrapbook paper of choice, cut to size of choice (I did around business card size)
– Letter stamps
– White ink (or color of choice)
– Ribbon of choice
– Single hole punch

I trimmed the corners of the cards on one end so that they’d look like traditional tags, then I punched the hole in that end.

Then I just cut pieces of the different ribbons and alternated between the three so that there would be a mix once they were all placed next to each other.

As you can see, I only did first names because it was a very small event. But, you could always make the tags a little larger to stamp the first AND last names.

Once finished, there are any number of ways you can arrange these cute little place cards at your table setting!

I had a lot of fun doing this project and the cost is next to nothing, especially if you use pieces of scrapbook paper you already have (like I did). It would also be great for ANY kind of dinner party, not just something wedding related. Hope you have fun trying it out! :)
