Andrew & Katie | Backyard Maryland Wedding

8/31/12

I’m so excited to be bringing you the beautiful wedding of Andrew and Katie, today! These two lovely people met in college, due to having a lot of the same music classes, and Katie first remembers developing a little crush on Andrew when seeing him on stage playing bass. During their first official conversation they hit it off smashingly. Andrew asked for her number…and from there, the rest is basically history! Andrew is the first guy that Katie ever dated, kissed, and loved….and it was only kiiiind of evident throughout their whole wedding day how head-over-heels these two are for each other! The whole celebration was held in the backyard of Katie’s family home, and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

Katie’s dress was so beautiful in it’s flowy simplicity.

First Look!

I love the beautiful peachy/blush tones, with the little accents of purple, that she chose for the flowers!

Katie and her beautiful sisters.

What a good-looking wedding party!

Annnnd, meet the world’s MOST adorable flower girls, ever!!! I couldn’t HELP but photograph these two!

I loved the programs and invitation! So cute and crafty!

Katie’s uncle made this super cool doorway/wall for the ceremony. I love how rustic it is, and how it made for the perfect separation from the ceremony and reception spaces.

SUCH sweet moments right after being officially married.

And, since I found a weeping willow, we of COURSE had to do some more portraits!

Now for all of the reception details….and there are a LOT. They put so many beautiful touches on things!

A little ways into the reception, Andrew & Katie decided they wanted to play a little badminton. So fun!

And the atmosphere of the reception only got more beautiful as the evening light started to fade away…

It was such a fun and beautiful day to be part of! I hope you enjoyed seeing glimpses of it as much as I enjoyed getting to document them. :) HAPPY FRIDAY, friends!
