I love the simplicity of today’s outfit. Sometimes it doesn’t take any one stand-out piece to still create an entire look that is complete and polished. This inspiration photo has been on my style board for quite a while, and I love how modern, yet classy it is. I didn’t have a fitted black shirt like that, so I opted for a more Fall-ish color scheme, but I think it accomplishes a pretty similar look.

I’ve had this necklace for probably 7 years or so, and hadn’t worn it in a good 4 or 5 but had rediscovered it (and fallen in love with it again) earlier this year. So, I knew it was the perfect subtle statement piece to get a similar look to the original photo. And these gray striped tights are some of my favorites in my wardrobe. I love that they give the outfit a little bit of pattern, even though it’s still all solid colors.

I often have friends make comments that I pull off some pretty crazy pieces in my wardrobe (funky patterns, etc), but I think today’s outfit proves that you can still do a lot with very basic, solid pieces. :) What would your ideal color combo be for an outfit like this?
One of my favorites. You’re adorable, Tori. :)
Love your style!
