Seriously unbelievable that August is already here. That today marks the 1-year anniversary of my sister’s wedding, and just about the 1-month-away mark for my brother’s wedding! Cuh-ray-zeee. I feel like such an old person saying “this year is flying by!” but I mean, for real. It is. July was a wonderful and welcomed break from the craziness of June, though. Aaron’s parents came to visit, and then my Mom came to visit. We found cool chairs for the dining room, decked out for Cow-Appreciation Day, I got to see TWO favorite Northern Va/DC friends, hosted a ladies craft night, found more lamps/shades for crazy good prices, painted our kitchen (& made a lot of progress on the wood trim throughout the hallway/dining room), shot a beautiful wedding, and had actual weekends to enjoy. It was a great month, I just can’t believe it came and went so quickly!
A look back on July’s goals:
PERSONAL
– Work out at least 3 times per week
– Write to my grandparents (I’m the worst, I NEED to do this….)
– Host Girl’s Craft Night
– Have coffee time with at least 2 friends
– Learn to use the new grill
– Pick fabric for new dining room chairs (haven’t settled on one, yet, but I’ve done a lot of looking!)
– Finish Painting kitchen
– Start painting trim in dining room
– Get rid of items piled in dining room
– Organize shoes in closet
– Learn about the plants in the garden & how to take care of them (Still need to have someone come over and help me tackle this :)
BUSINESS
– Edit 4 weddings
– Order canvas(es) for office
– Submit at least 2 weddings
– Finalize list for “duty day”
– Finish schedule for intern & set up weekly time to come
– Write out blog schedule for July
– Time the wedding editing process from start to finish
– Buy new printer
Some of my business goals got pushed to the back burner just to stay on top of editing things. :-/ But, it happens. I will just try to accomplish them (for real) this month! So, here’s to August:
PERSONAL
– Keep working out at least 3 times per week
– Write 2-3 letters
– Finish trim in dining room & hallway
– Paint walls in dining room & hallway
– Host Pampered Chef Party!
– Try 2 new recipes
– Create meal/grocery plan
BUSINESS
– Choose 5 photos as options for canvas prints for office
– Submit 3-4 weddings
– Finalize list for “duty day” (for real)
– Buy new printer
– Finish inspiration board for styled shoot
– Design sample engagement album
I’m so excited to get the painting finished up in the hallway and dining room this month. At least what we can do, we may have to hire out a portion of our foyer/stairway….unless Aaron is feeling daring and decides to buy a ladder. But we shall see! What are you most excited about in the month of August?
*ahem* THREE nova/DC friends! :P
@Bethany, yes! Haha, sorry. You are SO right. I think I just still have you as a Richmond-native in my mind. ;)
