I’m so excited to introduce you to this sweet, spunky girl, today. Leni is Marvelous Thing’s first-ever intern! It’s definitely a learning process for me, just as much for her, since I’ve never had an intern before. But I’ve really enjoyed having her around and am excited to spend more time together in the coming months, and better learn how to serve her and her photography pursuit, as she assists and helps me. It’s great to have someone around who’s excited to learn, and willing to help, and so much fun for me to invest back into someone else who is walking a similar path to where I was 5+ years ago.

Leni is 21, and has had a camera in her hand since she was 4 or 5. Her mom and grandma were both photographers, as well, so the love of shooting is practically in her genes! She would love to pursue all kinds of portraiture, and eventually weddings, but her current favorite is photographing children.

Leni loves the Lord and is a committed, excited member of her church. She also really enjoys good music (and sings on her church’s worship team), delving into a good novel, and spending time with family and friends. We have a lot of common, and it’s awesome getting to know her better as we hang out. (Also note her lovely curly hair – not a requirement to intern with me, I promise, but definitely doesn’t hurt. ;)

And yes, we get along even though she shoots Nikon. ;)

Isn’t she a beautiful girl? So happy to have her by my side this year, and definitely excited to see her grow as she continues to pursue this craft that we all love so much.
