This year to ring in the New Year we headed up to Northern VA to celebrate with my brother and sister-in-law and my brother’s friend Phil. We started out at the National Harbor and walked around for a while, watched the fun light show on the tree, and then grabbed a delicious pizza dinner. We didn’t actually want to be out during midnight or get caught in crazy traffic, so we headed back to their apartment and played games, watched the ball drop, sipped some champaign and celebrated the beginning of 2014 on a lower-key (but still really fun) note. While I failed to take any photos as the clock actually struck midnight, here are some shots from the National Harbor.
