Wardrobe Wednesday | Vintage Floral

4/21/14

This week’s look is one that I thought was cute and effortless. While you could do it with any sort of button down, I really liked the floral of the original photo, and since I didn’t have a neutral colored dress of the right style, I decided to add some more color with a vintage dress that used to me my Mom’s.

This dress is one that my Mom wore in highschool, and that I grew up playing dress-ups in. At some point in my teenage years I realized our old dress-ups that were in storage had some awesome stuff, and I raided them for pieces that were my Mom’s that I could actually incorporate into my wardrobe. And this has been a favorite ever since.

Anyone else have clothes that were your Mom’s that you wear? I think it’s so fun to have vintage pieces with extra meaning because they originated within your own family. Just one more way to make an outfit especially unique!

Happy wardrobing!
