Nothing says “winter wardrobe” more than a good sweater. I love layering, and love a good, cozy, interesting cardigan. Cable-knit, or just ones that have a fun texture to them are definitely a favorite and paired with a great button-down is a fool proof look. While I love the plaid/flannel look in the inspiration photo, I don’t have anything like that in my closet (I know, I need to up my plaid game) so I went with one of my favorite thrift-store finds in this dark colored paisley print. The deep greens and burgundy are a really great contrast to the mustard cardigan and it basically encompasses all of my go-to colors in one outfit! Cuff your jeans, add some ankle boots and bam! You have a super cute, way comfy look that’s great for any wintery day.

I love how well my Grandma’s ring goes with this shirt. We lost her in December of 2012, so this time of year I’m extra sentimental about being able to wear the jewelry I have that was her’s. Making your style special with meaningful pieces is such a great way to achieve your own personal spin on trendy looks, and to really make it a way of telling others something about who you are.
