I’ve been so grateful to have some really wonderful features over the years, but I’m excited to share my first feature in the regional Knot magazine! While I’ve had work in print a few times, this is my first real wedding feature in a well-known magazine and that’s something I’d been wanting to accomplish for quite some time!

It’s definitely worth noting that being featured in print is more for “me” than it is for my business. The truth is that you usually get a much better return and potential new clients with online features, especially blogs specific to your region. Having your work in print is definitely an awesome goal to have, but if you happen to find yourself feeling discouraged because you’ve been told no time and time again….just know that it doesn’t have any baring on the quality of your work or success of your business. I’ve been there, and it can be really frustrating and disheartening. So, keep trying! But also remember that your value as a photographer is not based on how many print features you have or have not had!

Mark & Brittany’s wedding was such a lovely day that I was so excited to be part of alongside some amazing vendors, including Type A Society and Sweet Root Village (two of my faves).  If you’re in this region, pick up a copy next time you’re out at about to see it all in person!
