As you’ve probably picked up, lately, I’m really loving sticking to the basics, but making sure they still feel well-styled. My favorite thing about this look is that it’s simple and comfortable, but with a few small touches like a vintage leather belt, vintage loafers or oxfords and some high-waisted jeans it still feels like it has intentional style and flair. It’s classic & simple, without being boring, and that’s key for me!

This ring is a fun and special one that I haven’t worn in a long time. I got it in New Zealand back in 2008 when I was there for a month-long (life-changing) photography trip, and it’s made from a NZ coin. It’s been my tradition (ever since going to Italy in 2005) to buy a piece of jewelry when I visit somewhere new and that’s been such a special way to remember amazing trips, new places and time with special people. I would wear this one a lot more, but it actually broke, and while I can keep it on my finger, there’s a jagged piece underneath that kind of scratches when wearing it for long amounts of time. Still, it’s so special that I have to pull it out now and then. :)

Nothing like some good black, white and cognac, am I right? Always a stunning, classic combo. For other looks with a similar vibe, you can check out these!
