I couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off my 2018 weddings than this sweet, intimate, backyard wedding day. Susan and Preston are the most down-to-earth and easy-going couple, and I love that they wanted their wedding day to be low key and all about surrounding themselves with the ones they love most. They got married at Susan’s parents’ home, which was the perfect way to incorporate her father who had recently passed away, but was also the one who introduced Susan & Preston to each other. How amazing is that? I love that his presence will always be part of their love story, and that their wedding day spoke to that in such a sweet joyful way.

Did I mention they chose to exchange vows directly underneath two trees that her dad had planted that now have grown close enough together for the branches to touch? It was beautiful and meaingful. So happy for Susan, Preston and Susan’s son Henry. Enjoy these favorites from their special day!
