2013 was an incredible year for me, and I had the pleasure of shooting 21 gorgeous weddings. My business would not be what it is without my amazing brides & grooms, and I’m so blessed by the time I get to spend photographing and hanging out with such awesome couples. Thank you for allowing me to document your love, and for trusting with me the most special of your memories. It’s a privilege every time, and it deserves a little recap. While I’m TERRIBLY behind in posting full weddings from last year (but don’t worry, I’ll be catching up!) I wanted to give a little shout out to each couple. So here goes!
Chrissy & Joe got married in El Paso, TX and officially became my first Texas wedding! It was so fun to experience new scenery and watch my friends celebrate their marriage.
Erica & Paul got married at beautiful Sabot at Stony Point and had a navy & yellow theme that made for the cheeriest of Spring weddings!
Riki & Kevin had the coolest DIY wedding that perfectly expressed their personalities and relationship. Such a fun and unique event to photograph!
Kristina & David’s rustic and beautiful wedding on the historic grounds of Stratford Hall couldn’t have been a lovelier celebration of their joy.
Sabrina & Adam had the epitome of a happy Spring wedding with dashes of mint green and fresh flowers all around!
Amy & Cameron’s outdoor low-key wedding at lovely historic Rippon Lodge was full of DIY details and charming accents.
Mary & Tim’s super personalized DIY Richmond wedding was the perfect mix of classy and eclectic.
I got to travel back to my home state of Indiana to shoot my dear friend Audrey Ann & Eric’s wedding in June, and I loved all of the rustic and elegant details. Perfect setting for a Midwestern celebration!
Emily & Charlie’s day at the Hermitage Museum in Norfolk was positively perfect. So much joy and happiness oozing from everyone, and the prettiest pops of coral you ever did see!
Lindsey & Jared’s Earlyhouse wedding was so much fun with it’s personalized soda labels and teal & orange color scheme.
Jordan & Jake’s elegant affair at Stevenson Ridge was full of gorgeous florals, a classy pink color scheme and one of the most unique and amazing dresses I’ve ever gotten to photograph.
I had fun traveling to Pennsylvania for Alex & Lee’s rustic lodge wedding with lots of colorful accents and the coolest wildflower style bouquet and eclectic details.
Erica & Jeb know how to throw an amazing party, and they couldn’t have had a more perfect setting than this family farm, or more excited family & friends.
Stine & John’s American wedding (as they actually tied the knot in her home country of Denmark) was a lovely, vintage-styled wedding on the gorgeous grounds of Snipe’s Farm Retreat in North Carolina. In spite of some rain, it was the most joyous of days to get to photograph!
Linda & Scott’s DC wedding was so classy and beautiful with it’s deep red color and perfect Fall florals.
Lauren & Brian are one classic couple and their elegant day was held at the Dominion Club in Richmond. Thier pretty navy and white accents set the tone for the perfect late September wedding.
I love getting to travel, and Sarah & Matt’s stunning North Carolina wedding was a really great excuse. If the venue wasn’t gorgeous enough, having cotton accents mixed into the floral details and their adorable little dog walk down the aisle certainly sealed the deal for making it a fabulous event.
Jessica & Sam’s wedding at Bluemont Vineyards couldn’t have screamed “Fall” more perfectly. The florals were stunning, their joy was contagious, and the dance party was one for the books.
Krissy & Dave’s classy Richmond wedding at Main Street Station was full of elegance. Her vintage styled dress set a stunning tone for the gorgeous event, and even the crazy wind couldn’t stop us from getting amazing photos.
Anna & Peter tied the knot at the beautiful Grey Rock Mansion in Maryland and were blessed with an unseasonably warm day for November. I loved the pretty deep purple accents and the beautiful details all around.
Alicia & Steve were my last wedding of the year, and held their event at Whitehall Manor – one of my favorite venues. It couldn’t have possibly been a lovelier day and was the perfect note to end such an amazing year on.
I’m so, so blessed to look back on all of these photos and relive the stunning weddings I got to be part of. And I’m super excited to show them off to you in full with more blog posts in the near future. It’s going to be hard to top my 2013 weddings….but I’m stoked for 2014 and the couples who have booked me thus far. Can’t wait to see what all will unfold in this year! :)
I LOVED this post! What fun to look through your year of weddings. And seeing the bride and groom is my favorite – Details are great, but it’s so fun to see the people that are in love!
