Navy, Yellow & Gray Eclectic Baby Boy Nursery

7/13/15

I’m so happy to finally be showing off Llewyn’s nursery! It was all done before he was born, except for getting the mobile hung, but I just didn’t get around to photographing it until last week. It was so much fun for me to design this sweet room. I started with this inspiration, and then just ran with it as I was able to gather items I loved and/or already had. I’m super pleased with how it came out, and the special little touches that have extra meaning.

The gray book is his perfect and adorable Baby Book (that I still need to start writing in) and the above wooden sign – which I just love – was made specifically for him by our sweet friend Mandie.

The crochet bear was handmade just for Llewyn by a family friend, and the letter blocks below were made by my friends at one of his baby showers. I love looking at these things knowing they were made with love just for my little man!

The little blanket on the rocking chair above was Aaron’s as a baby. How sweet is that?! I also just love how the gallery wall came out, and that it’s a fun, artsy way to have a “family” wall in Llewyn’s room. The amazing cat embroidery portraits were made by my super talented friend Ashley and the awesome cameo portraits of Aaron and I were made by Maria Jones. And I love the baby pictures of Aaron, his dad & my dad, as well, as a way of including a sense of the family heritage he’s joining.

The little Micky Mouse pull toy in the cubicle was my Dad’s as a little boy, so I love having that. Such a fun, sentimental little touch!

Sitting in the room just makes me so happy, and while Llewyn is still sleeping in our room at the moment, I can’t wait for him to spend more time in his own space and really bring life to the room that I loved designing for him. :) Links and credit to as many things as possible are below, for anyone interested!
