We kept it pretty simple this year, for a lot of reasons. We didn’t even do a tree (which I was sad about, but agreed was best for this year) but I did DIY these fun cone trees for the mantle, threw together a wreath for the front door and made a fun little vintage photo display of my grandparents & parents in our dining room. While it’s not as much as I wish I would/could have done, it’s been enough to bring Christmas cheer to my daily life these last few weeks and as it is our last Christmas in this house, mostly like (more on that in the days/weeks to come) I wanted to document and remember it.
I’m so excited to get to spend time with family starting TOMORROW and am so grateful for this season, even though it’s been a little tougher this year than some of the previous ones. But even with change and transition, there is so much to be grateful for and my life is deeply blessed. The Lord is near, and the promise of a Savior is reality. Glory to God in highest, and on earth…peace and goodwill to all.
Merry Christmas to all of you, my friends!
